What installation actually involves
A biometric machine fixed to a wall is not an attendance system. Six things have to happen before your HR team can use it for payroll.
Site survey. We look at the gate people actually walk through, wall height and surface, whether a network point already exists nearby, where the power socket is, and how cable will reach your admin computer. Most installation problems in Gurugram offices are decided at this stage rather than at the device.
Device sizing. How many people punch in, and within what window. A 500-person factory with a single shift change needs a faster terminal than a 500-person office with staggered timings. We size against your shift pattern, not your total headcount.
Mounting and cabling. Device fixed at the correct height and angle, network cable pulled from the nearest switch, power routed safely. Factory gates usually need conduit and cable trays. Offices are normally a short ceiling run to the nearest switch.
Software installation. Attendance software installed on your admin computer or server, or connected to a cloud account. The device is registered on your network, employees are enrolled, and departments and shifts are created.
Payroll mapping. Late marks, half days, overtime, weekly offs, holidays and leave types configured against your actual salary rules. This is the step most installers skip, and it is the reason attendance disputes continue long after the machine is working.
Training and handover. Your HR or admin person learns to pull reports, correct a missed punch, add a new joiner and export data for payroll. We do not leave site until they can complete these tasks without calling us.
Installation situations we handle in Gurugram
Office on an existing LAN with no attendance software. The most common case in Cyber City and Udyog Vihar. We install the terminal, pull a short network drop to the nearest switch, install software on the admin computer, enrol staff and configure your shift policy. Usually completed in one working day.
Factory gate with multiple shifts. Device positioned at the gate rather than inside the admin block, sized for peak punch volume, with shift rules configured so a night-shift punch is not marked late. Cable runs are longer and need conduit. Typically two working days, more where there are several gates. Common in IMT Manesar and the Sohna industrial belt.
Co-working space or multi-tenant office. Members need attendance but the admin team changes. We configure cloud sync and a simple admin screen so a new manager can operate it without training.
School or coaching centre. Staff attendance with reports broken down by department and class, and where required, parent-facing attendance alerts.
Branch offices across Delhi NCR. One office in Gurugram, a warehouse in Manesar, a branch in Noida. All devices feed a single dashboard so payroll runs once instead of three times. This needs a server or cloud endpoint rather than software on each computer.
Existing machine that was never configured. Very common. A device bought two or three years ago, wired by an electrician, never connected to software, with data exported by hand every month.

If you already own an eSSL, ZKTeco or Matrix terminal and it is not doing what you need, we can usually fix it without selling you new hardware. Typical jobs we take on in Gurugram:

Three things move that timeline: whether a network point already exists at the gate, whether your payroll rules are documented before we arrive, and whether staff enrolment happens on the same day. Enrolling 400 employees takes time regardless of how fast the device is.
What affects installation cost
We do not quote a flat installation fee, because a flat fee would be wrong for most sites. What moves the number:
- Number of gates and devices. Two gates need either two devices or one controller with two readers.
- Cable length and routing. A network point three metres away and a run across a factory floor are different jobs.
- Whether LAN or Wi-Fi already reaches the gate. If it does not, cabling becomes the main cost.
- Whether the device must also open a door. Adding an electromagnetic lock, exit button and power supply turns attendance into access control.
- Payroll complexity. Two shifts with a simple late rule is quick. Six rotational shifts with overtime slabs is configuration work.
- Enrolment volume. Thirty staff or six hundred.

What is included, and what happens afterwards
Every installation includes the site survey, mounting and cabling, software installation, device-to-software connection, shift and leave configuration, staff enrolment, training, and a written handover note recording the software login and your support contact.
After installation we provide support for configuration issues, punch errors and software problems, with on-site response across Delhi NCR and remote support over call and remote desktop for anything that can be fixed without a visit. Annual maintenance covering preventive visits, software support and spare parts is available once the included support period ends.

Do you install a biometric machine we already bought somewhere else?
Yes, and it is a large part of our installation work. We install and reconfigure existing eSSL, ZKTeco and Matrix devices, connect them to attendance software and complete the payroll mapping. We only recommend replacing a device when it genuinely cannot do what you need.
How long does biometric installation take?
A single device with a network point already at the gate takes half to one working day. Where new cable has to be pulled and payroll rules are detailed, plan a full working day. Multi-gate and multi-location installations take three to five working days, staged so your attendance recording is not disrupted.
Do you provide support after installation?
Yes. Support for configuration, punch errors and software issues is included after installation, with on-site response across Delhi NCR and remote support over call and remote desktop. Annual maintenance is available after the included support period ends.
Can you connect attendance to our payroll software?
In most cases, yes. eSSL and ZKTeco terminals export attendance data in formats that Indian HRMS and payroll platforms accept directly, including Keka and RazorpayX. Tell us which software you use when you enquire and we will confirm compatibility before the survey.
Is the site survey charged?

Can you install at a factory gate where there is no network cable?
Yes. Where pulling cable to the gate is impractical, the device can be connected over Wi-Fi, or over 4G where the model supports it. We will tell you at the survey which option suits your site, because a weak Wi-Fi signal at a factory gate causes more attendance errors than a faulty device.
